Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History
This project encompasses a number of elements to improve the water quality of storm water runoff into environmentally sensitive Mission Creek, including replacement of the entire parking lot with varied types of permeable paving, construction of new bioswales, landscaping with native flora, reforestation with over 80 oak trees, and educational signage.
The Client intends to make this a demonstration project, integrating environmental concerns into practical situations. A large professional team was assembled for this project, including renowned landscape architect Isabelle Greene & Associates along with a number of professional engineering firms.
Stonemark is providing project management services including coordination of the engineering and design teams, cost estimating, value engineering, and grant compliance. Because of our expertise in working with non-profit organizations, we were able to effectively foster consensus with the designers and within the multi-level client organization to create a cohesive project team.
