Green Building
Stonemark was the Construction Manager for St. Jerome Parish, the first LEED renovation project for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Stonemark is a member of the US Green Building Council that has adopted the LEED criteria for energy and resource efficient buildings. LEED is a self-assessing system designed for rating new and existing buildings. It evaluates environmental performance from a whole-building perspective over a building's life cycle. Stonemark President, Bart Mendel, is a LEED accredited professional, a designation provided by the US Green Building Council for experts in the field.
Stonemark will explore ways to optimize the performance of your project by reducing energy usage with a pragmatic focus on life-cycle costs. Options vary from adding elements such as recycling, reduced water usage and environmentally friendly materials, to incorporating a comprehensive energy and facility master plan.
In addition to the obvious reduction of negative environmental impacts, employees and clients benefit from an environmentally friendly building and a more comfortable work space in the areas of thermal control, daylighting and views, and indoor air quality.

The world we have created today as a result of our thinking thus far has problems that cannot be solved by thinking the way we thought when we created them. —Albert Einstein
