So many of you expressed how valuable it was to have a birds-eye view of the process of building our most recent ground-up, custom estate (see Montecito Custom Home Project Journal), that we decided to blog about this exciting project as well. Huge laminated glass windows were installed at the house to maximize the homeowners’ fantastic views of the canyon and coastline.  The windows were 6 feet wide by 10 or 15 feet high, and weighed between 800 and 1000 lbs apiece.  The tempered glass was as much as 1 3/4″ thick.  The contractor used a 100 […]
