Project Engineers
We seek highly motivated new graduates or professionals with up to 5 years experience in a similar position to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for career growth in a dynamic environment with a great career path in project management.
Successful candidates must have, at a minimum, the following baseline experience and skills:
- Degree in construction management or engineering
- 0 – 5 years experience in a similar position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Professional demeanor and a highly motivated ethic to work independently
Ideal candidates will have a combination of the following skills:
- Working knowledge of trades
- Cost estimating
- Experience with construction management software such as Expedition or Prolog
- Experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Suretrack
- Technical report writing capability
Initial sample duties will include a combination of the following. Actual job duties will be based on initial capabilities. It is expected that this candidate will be fully trained in our systems and gradually assume more responsibilities and grow into a project management position.
- Assist in managing an interesting mix of preconstruction and construction phase services
- Cost control & cost engineering
- Prepare CPM project and construction schedules
- Research materials, manufacturers & trades
- Process construction documents, including contracts, change order requests, change orders, etc.
- Prepare technical specifications
- Prepare bid packages & assist in bidding & bid evaluation
- Assist in preparation of building investigation reports
- Perform on-site construction progress inspections
- Prepare cost estimates
Construction Managers
We seek highly motivated construction professionals to manage an interesting mix of preconstruction, construction and forensic building evaluation projects. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced construction professionals.
Successful candidates must have, at a minimum, the following baseline experience and skills:
- Eight years minimum experience in managing preconstruction and construction activities
- Successful completion of construction projects with a value of $6 million
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity and experience with the flow of construction documents
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn software
- Experience with construction management software such as Expedition or Prolog, as well as Microsoft Project or Suretrack is preferred.
- Professional demeanor and a highly motivated ethic to work independently
Ideal candidates will have a combination of the following skills:
- Preparation of technical reports
- Experience in CPM project scheduling
- Site superintendence and working knowledge of trades
- Forensic building investigation experience or desire to learn
- Cost estimating
- Engineering background
Sample duties may include a combination of the following. Actual job duties will be based on the right mix of core experience and capabilities.
- Manage preconstruction activities
- Manage client communication
- Prepare CPM project and construction schedules
- Coordinate architects, engineers, and contractors
- Process construction documents, including contracts, change order requests, change orders, etc.
- Prepare technical specifications
- Prepare forensic building investigation reports
- Perform on-site construction progress inspections
- Prepare cost estimates
Salary
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Offers of employment will be contingent on a successful reference evaluation.
